Preface:
Global environmental concerns have posed significant hurdles to traditional textile coloring techniques. As a response, industrial R&D has been exploring more sustainable materials with more eco-friendly as well as compatible technologies in the textile wet processing chain in recent years, resulting in a variety of innovative strategies for sustainable perspectives in this sector.
This book is a comprehensive literature exploration of the state-of-the-art and recent practices in the field of textile coloration technologies. The book discusses the fragmented situation as well as new and emerging textile technologies, providing a comprehensive reference material for readers at all levels, including academicians, scientists, and researchers, as well as postgraduate students in the textile science and technology stream.
The book will hopefully be a useful tool for gaining an overview of the multidisciplinary dimension of textile coloration through technological perspectives in order to facilitate further exploration of alternative opportunities. The book is divided into 14 chapters that describe new and emerging technologies such as industrial innovation in coloration technologies, principles, and applications of advanced and sustainable technologies, electrochemical technology, plasma technology, ultrasonic and microwave technology, waterless coloration technology, etc. We are delighted to introduce and dedicate this volume to the learners as well as teachers of the textile coloration technological community. We welcome our readers’ insightful feedback and suggestions, which will aid in the development of future volumes.
